Many of our faithful customers recognize the Force 10 name and reputation. Here is our story....

Force 10 Marine Company was purchased in the mid 80's by a group of partners from the States. This was the time period when the barbecue line was added. In the late 90's the company was sold and within months repurchased by the original owners.

The barbecue line was moved in the year 2000 to the factory in Thailand, owned by the same partners. In Thailand the water heater line was designed and developed.

In the summer of 2006, divisions of the company were sold. The cabin heater line was sold to Dickinson, based in Vancouver. The galley range product line was sold to ENO, a French company, to remain in Vancouver; the Force 10 name was sold as part of that sale. Kuuma may continue to use the Force 10 name through 2010.

The creative division of the organization, all of Finnish nationality, found the name KUUMA translates into "HOT" - fitting for a barbecue and water heater company.

All the water heater and barbecue product lines are manufactured in the same facility, by the same people, with the original owners, but under the company name of KUUMA PRODUCTS.

The products will continue to feature durable corrosion-resistant stainless steel designed for the tough marine environment.
